Mission Statement
Mission of the GIS Policy Committee, Adopted October 17, 1997:

"The Policy Committee is to manage the Geographic Information System in a planned, deliberate and proactive manner, in which policies establish precedents rather than precedents establish policies. The Committee shall maximize the availability of quality information to users of the system and the public. The Committee shall be financially conservative and shall strive to maximize the advantages of the GIS technology."
