parkshop2

8/10/20-The Park storage facility and associated housing project located at 400 W. Snow King Avenue is in the home stretch!  The project is providing: a basement for storage and locker rooms for staff; ground floor will provide storage for all of Parks & Recreations equipment and offices for staff; the second and third floors are employee housing units for the Town and County to focus on emergency services, seasonal staff and a landing places for new employees.  Contractors are working on a punch list and finish items.  The plan is to start moving equipment from the old park shop into the new storage areas towards the end of August with Parks staff moving into the offices during September.  The Town and County housing portion, 2nd and 3rd floors are also nearing completion and the goal for Town of Jackson/Teton County is to have units available by September 1st.   It has been a long project and staff is very excited to get our equipment out of the elements and staff the ability to spread out a bit.  This facility will provide 26 units for short- and longer-term housing to accommodate Town and County employees with a mix of dorm style and single bedroom units.  For information related to affordable housing Teton County you can refer to the following website: http://www.tetonwyo.org/156/Affordable-Housing
