Floating Flat Creek
June 16, 2021 – It feels like August! Summer temperatures arrived about a month early this year and that means floating Flat Creek is a popular endeavor. Jackson/Teton County Parks & Recreation (TCJPR) and the Town of Jackson would like to remind Flat Creek users to follow posted rules and be respectful to each other, private property owners and wildlife habitat. There are four public access points from the north end of Karn’s Meadow at the west end of Hansen Ave to just north of Smith’s/Eagle Village near the bike path. There are four bridges that cross Flat Creek: West Snow King Ave; Elk Run; Stellaria Lane and South Hwy 89.
Some key points: Go to the restroom before you leave, the only public restroom along the way is Garaman Park. Please respect private property and only use public access points; no dogs at large; no open alcoholic containers and no public urination. The Town of Jackson and TCJPR appreciate the community’s effort to protect and be respectful of this wonderful stretch of water that is so vital to so many. You can visit the TCJPR website for access to all this information. Have a great summer!
