Town of Jackson and Teton County ISWR Fall Clean-up

Residential Yard Waste Collection

*Drop-off event (no curbside collection)  

 

The Town of Jackson and Teton County Integrated Solid Waste & Recycling will be hosting Free Residential Yard Waste Drop-off at the Rodeo Grounds Friday, November 4th between 9:00am and 6:00pm.  There will be no curbside collection provided for this event.  

  • Bring your leaves, grass, pumpkins, and branches either loose or in compostable bags.
  • Please NO trash.  NO dog poo!
  • Please, NO DUMPING before or after November 4th!
  • Residents will be expected to unload their yard waste material and sort appropriately.
  • Residential yard waste only.  Not intended for commercial business drop-off.
  • The Pumpkin Smash will take place from 4-6pm, please bring your pumpkins and jack-o’-lanterns in for composting.   Candles, decorations, and adornments must be removed.   
  • Free compostable yard waste bags are available at the following locations starting Friday, October 14th:
    1. Town Hall (150 East Pearl Street)
    2. Public Works Administrative Office (450 West Snow King Avenue)
    3. Recycling Center (3270 South Adams Canyon Drive)

500 pounds free at the Trash Transfer Station Monday, October 31st through Friday, November 4th from 7:00am to 3:00pm and Saturday, November 5th from 9:00am to 1:00pm.  

  • Free drop off for up to 500 pounds.
  • Bring your leaves, grass, pumpkins, and branches either loose or in compostable bags.
  • Please NO trash.  NO dog poo!
  • Residents will be expected to unload their yard waste material and sort appropriately.
  • Residential customers only.  Discounts do not apply to commercial trash haulers, landscapers, or other businesses. 

Yard waste will be composted locally by Terra Firma Organics rather than trucked away 100 miles to the landfill. 

 

Fall Burn Week will be held Saturday, October 29th through Sunday, November 6th

  • Town residents wishing to conduct a controlled burn must first contact the Jackson Hole Law Enforcement Agency at 733-2331 prior to striking that match.
  • Citizens are encouraged to act responsibly and always control their burns including only dry grass, leaves, twigs, small branches, and clean wood.  NO TRASH.
