Housing Supply Plan Adopted

The 2018-2022 Housing Supply Plan was adopted Monday, August 6, and details plans for producing and preserving workforce housing in the town and county. Highlights from the plan include: 

  • Current projects that, once built, will provide 108 new workforce housing units - both rental and ownership
  • 3 proposed capital projects that could produce 50-175 new units
  • 1 future project that could produce 20 units to 150 dorm rooms
  • Creating a working group of regional employers to discuss opportunities to coordinate and create workforce housing
  • Land acquisition for future workforce housing development
  • Master planning 400 West Snow King Avenue
  • Pursuing "nontraditional" opportunities like a workforce housing state park and an agri-hood
  • 3 proposed capital programs: ARU revolving loan fund, down payment assistance fund, restriction fund
  • 2 future programs focused on ARU development
