This position is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and delivery of Public Works services to Teton County. Provides leadership and direction to the Department’s divisions: Road & Levee, Integrated Solid Waste & Recycling, and Engineering services. Our ideal candidate has experience leading an interdisciplinary team to positively engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Candidates should possess strong leadership, interpersonal, problem solving, and decision- making skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulates long range forecasts of public works requirements and develops strategies and appropriate plans.
- Directs a system of internal fiscal accounting, reporting and control.
- Represents the department and county in dealings with contractors, federal, state, and local government representatives and citizens.
- Supervises the activities of the department divisions by monitoring division practices, interpreting policies and procedures, reviewing and evaluating the work of subordinates, and establishing work priorities.
