Table Names and Contents
and
Notes form the University of Wyoming team
that digitized the maps
cutthrp.tab - Cutthroat spawning areas. This file cover
only a 4 quadrangle area. I believe there
are still some polygon label errors and edgematching
errors.
deerp.tab - Deer seasonal ranges. Again, we used WGFD
100k maps to correct for errors in Biota's
maps.
deer_ml.tab - Deer migration routes. We attempted to capture
the arrows on the mylar overlays as arcs
within Arc/Info and preserved their directionality.
elkp.tab - Elk seasonal ranges. This file has been
cleaned up quite a bit (i.e., edgematching
and incorrect polygon labels fixed). We used
the 100k biggame seasonal range maps developed
by the WGFD as a reference to fix alot of
the problems with the maps prepared by Biota.
elk_ml.tab - Elk migration routes. We attempted to
capture the arrows on the mylar overlays
as arcs within Arc/Info and preserved their
directionality.
elk_pp.tab - Elk parturition areas. Again, we used WGFD
100k maps to correct for errors in Biota's
maps.
moosep.tab - Moose seasonal ranges. Again, we used WGFD
100k maps to correct for errors in Biota's
maps.
moose_l.tab - Moose migration routes. We attempted to capture
the arrows on the mylar overlays as arcs
within Arc/Info and preserved their directionality.
swanp.tab - Trumpeter swan breeding/staging areas. This
layer has a bunch of polygon label errors
and edgematching errors which we could not
resolve.
