Jackson, Wyo., Dec. 2, 2016 – The Housing Department welcomed a
new position to its team this week: Compliance Specialist. Lisa Potzernitz, who
has worked at the Housing Department for two years, will shift into the new
role, where she will work with restricted housing unit owners to ensure
compliance standards are met.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Lisa to her new position
as the Compliance Specialist. She has the skills to navigate the compliance role,
and we look forward to enhancing our services to ensure 100 percent compliance
in our units, thus protecting the public’s investment in affordable housing in
our community,” April Norton, Housing Director said.
Potzernitz is a Jackson native and volunteer firefighter.
She is currently the president of the Hoback Volunteer Firefighters Association
and most recently served as the Housing Department’s administrative assistant.
In that role she assisted the Housing Manger and Sales Specialist with a
diversity of tasks including compliance, sales and resales, and customer

Fire/Arson Investigator Academy, Reading Body Language course, and U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development Fair Housing Training. In addition
to her positions at the Housing Department and the Hoback Fire Department, Potzernitz
maintains a family ranch in Hog Island.
The Compliance Specialist position was created via a departmental
restructuring and in close partnership with the Town and County planning
departments to enhance efficiencies. The result was the addition of the Compliance
