There will be 21 various volunteer board openings as end-of-terms approach in December and January on County and Joint, Town & County, volunteer boards. These openings are available to Teton County community members who wish to be involved.
BOARD OPENINGS:
The Administrative Museum Board is a joint Town and County board. There is 1 end-of-term opening to fill a three year term beginning January 1, 2012. This board meets as needed for budgeting and planning sessions.
The Airport Board is a joint Town and County board. There is 1 end-of-term opening to fill a five year term beginning February 1, 2012. This board meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. Contact Jeanne Kirkpatrick for more information about this board – jmkpatrick@aol.com

The Board of Health is a County board. There is 1 end-of-term opening to fill a four year term beginning January 1, 2012. This position is open to non-medical or medical community members. The Integrated Solid Waste & Recycling Advisory Board is a County board. There are 3 end-of-term openings to fill three year terms beginning January 1, 2012. The START Board is a joint Town and County board. There are 2 end-of-term openings to fill three year terms beginning January 1, 2012. This board meets twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Contact Michael Wackerly for more information about this board – mwackerly@ci.jackson.wy.us
Application Process:
· Applicants to a joint board will interview “in-person” with both the Town Council and County Commissioners. Interviews for NRTAB, P&R, and START are planned for the 2nd week of December. Interviews for the Airport Board and Pathways Taskforce are planned for either the 2nd week of December or the 3rd week of January.
· Applicants to a county board will interview “in-person” with the County Commissioners. These in-person interviews will be planned to take place during the 1st or 2nd week in December.
· After the interviews and the Elected Official deliberate and reach a decision, quick emails will be sent to each applicant. Then a formal letter will follow to each applicant.
Application Deadline: Applications are accepted now through 4:00 pm on November 27, 2012.
