COMING SOON - Child Support On Line Calculator
Child Support is to be paid either in person at the Clerk of District Court Office or it may be mailed to our Post Office Box. Please make sure your name is clearly written on the check. Payments can be made in cash, check, money order or certified check, unless court documents require cash or certified check or money order only.
If you make arrangements through your bank’s automatic bill pay, please continue to make check payable to the custodial parent.
Options for Automatic, Online and/or Recurring Payments
1. Your Bank:
You may be able to setup recurring check payments to be mailed through your bank using automatic bill pay.
*If you make arrangements through your bank’s automatic bill pay, please continue to make check payable to the custodial parent. Use c/o Clerk of District Court, P.O. Box 4460, Jackson, WY 83001 as the address where you send the payment.
*In this arrangement, our office will continue to record the payment and either mail to the custodial parent or call the custodial parent.
2. State Child Support Disbursement Unit (SDU):
a. You can make a child support payment to the WY State Disbursement Unit by credit card.
b. You can also make a one-time payment or setup recurring payments from a checking or savings account to the Wyoming State Disbursement Unit.
CLICK HERE to access these State services at the Department of Family Services Website.
When payments are made directly to the State Disbursement Unit, the SDU disburses the funds directly to the Custodial Parent.
Additionally, if you decide to consistently make your payments directly to the State Dispursement Unit, the custodial parent may sign up to receive the funds via a Reliacard or by direct deposit to a bank account. Click here for more information on these options.
Please pay careful attention to all relevant time frames if you decide to use any of the above options. Each option has a certain amount of days it takes to setup the payment account and a certain amount of days for payment to arrive at our office or the State Disbursement Unit. Your payment is still required to arrive by the court ordered date.
We encourage you to let the custodial parent know if you switch from making your payments to our local office or making them to the State Disbursement Unit. This will help prepare them for the change in how they will receive their payment. It also provides you an opportunity to alert them to the Reliacard and direct deposit options available when payments are make through SDU.
**The statutory child support guidelines are as follows: Wyoming Statutes Sections 20-2-301 through 20-2-315. The abatement statute is 20-2-305 and provides a non-custodial parent to claim an abatement of support within 30 days of the end of their visitation period.
