Teton County Transfer Facility
Teton County has received numerous awards for the management of solid waste materials, the most recent award was presented to the county by the Wyoming Solid Waste Management Association. This award is very prestigious and competition for this award includes all cities in Wyoming with a population greater than 5000.

Some of our future goals include the reduction of waste material at the Transfer Facility by accelerated efforts in Recycling. At present time approximately 24% of all County solid wastes are recycled, it is our goal to increase this to 50%. The long term benefits will be less land used for landfills, less environmental concerns and a significant saving in solid wastes disposal for County residents.

Teton County Landfill operates under permits issued by the DEQ, Department of Environmental Quality.
