There have been three spontaneous ignition caused fires in Teton County, WY in 2009. These fires alone have resulted in over 3 million dollars worth of damage to structures and personal belongings. Spontaneous ignition fires are easy to prevent, but first we have to understand why they occur.

Smoke alarms that are 10 years old are near the end of their service life and should be replaced.  Batteries should be changed once a year and devices should be checked every month.   For more information on smoke alarms, call our office at 733-4732.
