FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL IN TETON COUNTY!

Sparklers are a type of firework, but do not contain enough explosive components to be ruled a firework.  Please use great care when handling sparklers - here is a great video for the entire family to be safe with sparklers.

COMMERCIAL BUILDING OWNERS

It is the responsibility of the building owner to maintain and retain on file, a record of the annual inspection from your servicing agent for the building's life safety systems; for example, fire sprinklers, fire alarm, commercial hood systems.  Click here for Building Owner Memo.

Per the International Fire Code, the following NFPA standards must be used by your servicing provider for system inspection and maintenance.  Fire sprinkler systems are to be inspected and maintained per NFPA 13 or 13R.

DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT SMOKE ALARM?

Please, be alarmed - you may not!!

Smoldering Fire: Smoldering fires develop slowly. A photoelectric smoke alarm can be minutes faster than an ionization smoke alarm in responding to a smoldering fire. Regardless of the type of smoke alarm, as soon as the smoke alarm sounds, leave the home as fast as possible.

Jackson Hole Fire/EMS recommends a combination smoke alarm - photoelectric/ionization alarm for your family's protection.  Today's fires are quick-developing.  This type of alarm can detect smoke quicker and give you time to escape.  Make sure your family has a fire escape plan, with two ways out, and an outside meeting place.  If trapped, close the bedroom door and signal at the window for help.
