The Jackson/Teton County Comprehensive Plan defines workforce housing as:
Local market and deed-restricted housing occupied by people working locally who would otherwise commute from outside the community.
The community has set a goal to ensure a variety of workforce housing opportunities exist so that at least 65% of those employed locally also live locally.
In other mountain resorts, the loss of a local workforce and associated diversity has indicated the loss of a sense of community. By ensuring that at least 65% of our local workforce lives locally, we can retain our valued community character.
There is market housing that serves the workforce located throughout the Town of Jackson and Teton County. JTCAH is highlighting restricted workforce housing developments on this website.
