County Parks Descriptions

Baux Park Acreage: 1.63. Located at the base of Snow King Mountain: 010 East Snow King Ave., you will find playground equipment, picnic shelter, horseshoe pits, picnic tables, and open space for recreational activities.

Powderhorn Park Acreage: 2.86. Located at 200 Powderhorn Lane, softball field, playground equipment, picnic shelter, drinking fountain, next to ball field and restroom facilities are provided here.

Town Square Acreage: 1.09. The famous Square is a favorite spot among locals and tourists. There are many trees & shrubs in the park, with benches distributed throughout for resting or just people watching, utility outlets, drinking fountain, open lawn, bike racks, veteran’s statue, stage stop building and flagpole.

Miller Park: Acreage 3.21. Located between Deloney & Gill streets, 257 West Deloney Street. facilities include restrooms, one tennis court, two basketball courts, picnic tables playground equipment and a picnic shelter.

North Park Acreage: 5.52. Located on North Cache Street, visitors to the Jackson area find North Park a good place to picnic. This area is also an excellent place to watch water fowl that frequently visit Flat Creek. Facilities include a picnic shelter, off street parking, phone, park benches, open lawn.

Home Ranch Park Acreage: 4.5. Located adjacent to the town parking lot-150 East Gill Street, this small park offers information center, picnic tables, shade trees, phone, drinking fountain, bike rack and public restrooms.

Owen Bircher Park Acreage: 4.5. 5650 West Main Street, Wilson, WY 83014. Also known as Wilson Park. You`ll find a lighted arena used by many local ropers, barrel racers and other equistrians in the valley. The arena is flooded during the winter months for ice skating and ice hockey. The park also offers picnic tables, barbecue pits, space for pick-up games, sand volleyball court, group picnic shelter, and restroom facilities. This is the only park that takes reservations for large group picnics.

Mike Yokel Jr. Park Acreage: 4.52. Located at 455 East Kelly Street you will find restrooms, a sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits and a playground. The picnic shelter may be reserved for small groups.

Rodeo Grounds: Acreage 2.5. The rodeo grounds are located on Snow King Drive. During the summer rodeos are held two nights a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays. On the east end of the rodeo grounds are located two tennis courts operated on a first come first served basis, and a youth baseball (Mateosky) field.

Snow King Ball Field Acreage: 1.50. Located at the base of Snow King Mountain: 010 East Snow King Ave., you will find softball field, lights, restrooms, drinking fountain, and open space for recreational activities.

High School Recreation Complex Acreage: 6. Located off Highway 89, south of town, you will find two synethic fields, 5 tennis courts, babe ruth field, cow pasture 1 & 2 ball fields, football stadium, alpine ball field, and soccer field, skateboard park, bike path, picnic shelter, restrooms and open space for recreational activities.

Skateboard Park Located between Cow Pasture 1 & 2 ball fields at the High School complex. You will find a half-pipe, launch ramp, handrail slide, benches, drinking fountain, and open space for recreational activities.

Emily Stevens Park Acreage: .5. Located at the east side of Wilson bridge on the Snake River dike, you will find pit restrooms, park benches, off street parking, pond and open space for recreational activities, (rest of the property is inaccessible across creek).

Stilson Park Acreage: 8.5. Located at the junction of highways #390 & #22. At this time, the park is just open space for recreational activities.

RangeView Park Acreage: 6.5. Located on High School Road, south of Town. You will find a pot toilet, playground equipment, benches, picnic tables, and open space for recreational activities.

May Park Acreage: 10. Located at 780 East Hansen Street. You will find old storage barn, and open space for recreational activities.

Karns Meadow Park Acreage: 3.58. Located along Snow King Ave. and Flat Creek. This property is a natural park, creek, and open space for recreational activities.

Valley Springs Park Acreage: 22. Located at along the western margin of the right of way of U.S. highway 189/191 south of town and Rafter-J subdivision. This property is a natural park for wildlife habitat, ponds for trumpeter swans and open space for recreational activities.

Melody Ranch Park Acreage: 6.1. Located in the southwest corner of Melody Ranch subdivision along the South Park loop road. The park design is not completed and open space for recreational activities.

Aspen Cemetery Acreage: 14. Located at the base of Snow King Mountain, above Baux Park, East Snow King Ave., town owned property.

Alta Park Acreage: 4.25. Located in Alta, Wyoming near Victor & Driggs, Idaho. You will find playground equipment, ball field, soccer field, basketball court, picnic shelter, picnic tables, and open space for recreational activities.
