Agency Services
Jackson Community Recycling
Jackson Community Recycling, the recycling center, provides residents and visitors of Teton County the opportunity for recycling instead of landfilling many solid wastes. Our drop off center is accessible 24 hours a day for added convenience. We accept aluminum cans, glass bottles and jars, steel/tin cans, newspaper, office pack, magazines and catalogs, corrugated cardboard, telephone books, #2 plastic grocery bags and plastic #1 and #2 bottles only. Items recovered at Jackson Community Recycling are sold to agencies that manufacture products made from recycled materials.

Community Recycling Sites **SEVEN DAYS A WEEK**
Now you can take your recyclables to one of our eight community recycling sites, conveniently located throughout the county, SEVEN DAYS A WEEK! You’ll find our NEW roll off recycling containers at all but two of the following locations:
  • in Jackson on the Rodeo grounds at the corner of Snow King Avenue and Flat Creek Drive
  • in Jackson at the Recreation Center parking lot on east Gill
  • in Wilson behind the Exxon station
  • north of town on Spring Gulch road just north of the Gros Ventre river
  • at the High School
  • at the Aspens in the Westside Store parking area
  • in Teton Village in the upper parking lot
  • in Hoback Junction next to the Hoback Market
All general recycling materials accepted at JCR can be recycled at these eight locations.

B2D Information and Donation Form

Bag 2 Differ (B2D) is a community grassroots initiative in partnership with Jackson Hole’s Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Campaign. Its mission is to raise awareness about the hazards of plastic shopping bags through education, outreach and incentives. B2D aims to help people modify their shopping habits with practical and environmentally-friendly alternatives to plastic bags.

B2D believes the first step in promoting reusable shopping bags is to ensure that people have widespread and easy access to them. This is why the initiative is endeavoring to disseminate several thousand reusable bags throughout Teton County, free of charge. The first recipients of the B2D bags will be the 3,000+ Teton County students and teachers in winter 2009. The distribution of bags will be accompanied by educational outreach, including classroom presentations and plastic bag fact sheets in every bag.

B2D is looking for individuals and businesses to sponsor Teton County classrooms, grade levels and schools in the purchase of reusable bags at $5 each. Please call Heather at Jackson Community Recycling for details, 733.7678.
