Information about computer/electronics recycling

Proper disposal and recycling of computers and electronics is important because they contain heavy metals, including lead and mercury, and other hazardous materials. Hazardous waste including, but not limited to televisions, computers monitirs and fluorescent light bulbs was banned March 18, 2003 from the Teton County Trash Transfer Station.

In 2006, Jackson Community Recycling began accepting electronics year-round. You may bring your used electronics to the center Monday-Friday 9:00-6:00. We ask that residents make a contribution to help us cover our shipping and disposal costs of 40 cents per pound. We ask that businesses pay the full cost. JCR works with Guaranteed Recycling Xperts This reliable computer and electronics recycling facility takes pride in dismantling the products on the premises, not in Asia or other third world countries.
