Shredd’n isn’t just what boarders do!
Jackson Community Recycling shreds and certifies document destruction. We can shred 2,000 lbs an hour for just 20 cents a pound! No one does it cheaper. Save your valuable staff time for a real job. Save money by not spending it on in-house shredders that are painfully slow and require high maintenance.
For businesses that require strict confidentiality, Jackson Community Recycling provides certified document destruction and recycling services. Certified document destruction, “shredding,” takes place on Thursday mornings. The cost is 20 cents per pound and payment is due when you deliver your documents. If your materials are not “clean,” (e.g., they have plastic comb bindings, labels on file folders, etc. and therefore do not comply with office pack) you can choose to pay an extra 5 cents per pound to have them cleaned so they can be recycled. The 5 cents extra per pound charge also applies if you opt for the less environmentally friendly choice of sending the shredded material to the landfill.
Only trained Jackson Community Recycling employees are authorized to operate the shredder. After document destruction, the staff will fax or mail you the certificate of destruction.
Jackson Community Recycling provides another option for recycling your confidential documents that does not certify destruction. You may stop by Jackson Community Recycling on Thursday mornings and place your office pack materials directly on the conveyor belt while we are baling office pack. This option is free of charge. Your papers are baled immediately, but not destroyed.
