Jackson, Wyoming- June 6, 2013 –The Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism JointPowers Board received 45 applications for its latest round of sponsorship funding
for special events.
Travel and Tourism fills open positions.
The Town and County Joint Powers board announced the renewal of terms for both Chip Carey and Bruce Grosbety, and the appointment of a new member, Liz Gibbs, to complete the term of former board member Mike Geraci.
This seven member board meets every Thursday of the month at 2 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Town Building. The board is responsible for stewardship of 60% of the funds collected through the lodging tax. The funds are used to promote travel and tourism to Teton County in a manner that is consistent with the shared values of our community.

Lodging tax board spot attracts nine applicants

A late flurry of applications has tripled the field of candidates for the Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism board.
Until Tuesday, there were three candidates for the board. There were nine by Wednesday afternoon, the deadline to apply for a vacant seat.
